Kursk (Prokhorovka) 10/07-12/07 1943 (IABSM Campaign)
This campaign is based upon the german attacks towards Prokhorovka during the operation "Zitadelle" in July 1943. On the 9th of July 1943, Feld-marechal von Manstein who's commanding the II SS Panzer Korps sends his orders (Division Befehl No 17) :
1) Enemy forces prepared for defense are equiped with antitanks weapons and tanks and are standing in a line from the western edge of the forest at the state farm Komsomolets to the railway line at Ivanosvki Vicielok.
2) The II. SS-Panzerkorps is to move out at 10 july 1943 with the LSSAH to the right and SS-Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf to the left on both side of the Pssel and head Northeast.
3) The reinforced LSSAH is to move out at 06.00 hours on the 10 July 1943 after the barrage by the entire Artillerie Regiment/LSSAH and Werfer regiment 55. After the Luftwaffe's preparation, the LSSAH is to move along the road from Tietierievino to Prokhorovka, capture the later town and hold it.
